Wegz

Wegz, born Ahmed Ali in Alexandria in 1998, is one of the most popular voices in Egyptian rap and a leading figure in the wider Arab hip-hop wave. He broke out in the late 2010s and became a household name with viral hits that fuse trap, shaabi and Afro influences with youthful, streetwise storytelling. His music has topped regional charts and soundtracked major moments, and he has become one of the most-streamed artists in the Middle East. He continues to push toward a more expansive, pan-African and international sound.
