What we do
The Arab music world is huge, fast-moving, and scattered across a dozen countries, dialects, and platforms. Finding a clear, reliable page on an artist you just discovered can be surprisingly hard. Sawtena exists to fix that. Every artist profile pulls together the essentials in one place: a concise biography, an active-years timeline, the genres they work in, a dated discography, and direct links to where you can actually listen, whether that’s Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or Anghami.
Who we cover
Our focus is artists with roots in the Arab and wider Middle Eastern world, including diaspora musicians who carry that heritage into their work. That spans pop, hip-hop, electronic, rock, traditional and folk styles, Amazigh and Gulf scenes, and everything in between. If they are adding to the region’s musical story, they belong here.
Why “Sawtena”
The name means “our voice” in Arabic, and that is the point. This is a shared space built around music that too often gets treated as niche when it deserves a proper stage. Our goal is simple: make Arab and Middle Eastern artists easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to fall in love with, for longtime fans and first-time listeners alike.
