Biography

Ahmed Elshobokshy is an Egyptian rapper and actor born March 16, 1993, in Cairo. He started rapping in 2007, initially performing in the Khaleeji (Gulf) dialect until 2010, then switched to Egyptian Arabic after relocating to Egypt, where he made his first TV appearance that year on Kuwait’s Al Ray channel. He released the Khaleeji album Al-Ustora (“The Legend”) and the Egyptian album Sarkhet Ensan (“A Human’s Scream”), with well known tracks including “Lessa Bahlam,” “A7a,” and “Andy Karsh.” His collaboration with Mohamed Ramadan on “El Malek” (“The King”) reportedly hit around 123 million YouTube views. Beyond music, he’s acted in TV and film, including a supporting role as “Fayoumy” in the 2020 Ramadan drama series Wa Nheb Tany Leh (“And We Love Again Why”) alongside Yasmine Abdelaziz, and appeared in the film Gawab Etegaal.
