Biography
Lena Chamamyan is a Syrian-Armenian singer-songwriter from Damascus, known for a soprano voice that fuses jazz, Arabic folk, and Western classical music. Trained as a classical vocalist at the Damascus conservatory, she rose to prominence with her albums Hal Asmar Ellon (2006) and Shamat (2007), which reimagined traditional Levantine and Armenian songs. Now based in Paris, she has built an international following through a style often described as oriental jazz. Her work bridges Eastern and Western traditions while drawing on her Armenian heritage.

In 2025 Chamamyan began performing material from a new self-produced album that marks a stylistic shift away from her mostly acoustic arrangements, working with a range of producers and debuting the songs at festivals.
