Biography
Tawargit, meaning The Dream in Tamazight, is a Moroccan Amazigh band of young musicians expressing their Amazigh identity through music, led by Mohammed Naciri (Muha). The group has won national modern Amazigh music awards from the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture. Their debut album Saghru arrived in 2011, followed in 2013 by Azwu n Tlelli (Wind of Freedom), whose songs address North African history, freedom, and family. Their influences range from Kabyle icons like Idir and Lounes Matoub to Mark Knopfler.
