Biography
Zone+ & Usif is a Bahraini electronic duo drawn to moody, reverb-rich soundscapes woven with samples of Arabic chant and acoustic instruments. Zone+, the project of Bahrain-born, Saudi-based producer Zeyad Mohsen, is known for deep, hypnotic grooves and has performed at festivals from Cercle in Bali to Burning Man and Saudi Arabia’s Soundstorm. He co-founded the Soundscapes Zanzibar Festival and the Jeddah-based label Electric Dream Records. Together with Usif, the pair build rich, versatile electronic sets rooted in the Gulf.
