Biography
Ammar 808 is a Tunisian producer known for bold fusions of tradition and futurism. He reimagines Mezoued, a Tunisian folk genre, with deep electronic basslines and TR-808 drum-machine sounds. His projects have also drawn on Maghreb and South Indian traditions, framing them through heavy, club-ready production. He is one of the more internationally recognised experimenters to come out of North Africa.
