Biography
Majed Al Esa is a Saudi musician, director, and editor from Riyadh, known for mashing modern beats with age-old Arabic melodies. He founded the production company 8ies Studios, which became a hub for a new wave of Saudi music video work. He drew international attention with the 2016 satirical video Hwages, featuring Saudi women addressing questions of women’s rights, as well as tracks like Samry King and Eidayn. His work sits at the crossroads of pop music and provocative visual storytelling.
