Mohamed Mohsen is an Egyptian singer and composer known for reviving classic Arabic music for younger audiences, pairing original compositions with reinterpretations of legends such as Sayed Darwish and Mohamed Fawzi. A graduate of Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering, he released his debut album El Laff Fe Shawareek in 2012 and won a Best Singer award at the Al-Ahram ceremony that year. His work is often linked to the wave of socially engaged music that surfaced in Egypt in the early 2010s.
