Arab and Middle Eastern artists based in Switzerland.

A small archive, and honestly so. Switzerland has no large Arab community and no Arabic-language music industry, so the artists here are individuals rather than a scene: musicians who arrived for work, study or asylum and kept making music once they did.

What the country does have is an unusually dense network of jazz and improvised music venues and festivals for its size, which is what tends to bring musicians from the region through in the first place, and occasionally what keeps them.
