Ruba Shamshoum

Ruba Shamshoum is a Palestinian singer-songwriter, born and raised in Nazareth and later based in London. She studied jazz performance at the Newpark Music Centre in Ireland and became active in the Irish jazz scene before building an international career. Her music fuses poetic dream pop, jazz improvisation, and Middle Eastern musical traditions, with lyrics that explore femininity, vulnerability, and connection to nature. She released her debut album Shamat (Beauty Spots) in 2017.
