Biography
Teen Idle is the musical alias of Sara Abdelbarry, an Egyptian producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in New Jersey. She writes, records and produces largely in a home studio, drawing on 1990s grunge and the phrasing of classic Arabic crooners. Her heartfelt rock songs carry a pop sensibility and earned early recognition on US college radio. She represents the Egyptian diaspora’s growing indie presence.
