El Rass, the stage name of Mazen El Sayed, is a Lebanese rapper and one of the most distinctive voices in Arabic hip-hop. Born in Tripoli, he is known for weaving classical Arabic and dense literary imagery into raw street vernacular, producing politically and socially charged work that ranges across Lebanon and the wider Arab world. Extraordinarily prolific, he has released more than a dozen albums and EPs alongside hundreds of singles, frequently collaborating with regional producers and MCs. His 2012 debut Kachf el Mahjoub, made with electronica artist Munma, established his voice, and later records such as Ard El Khof (2022) earned critical recognition within the Arab alternative scene. He has remained highly active through the 2020s, releasing several projects including the Hudhud EP and the 2025 albums Sikkat El Rouh and 6 October.
