Cairokee

Cairokee is a pioneering Egyptian alternative rock band formed in Cairo in 2003 and led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Amir Eid. Rising to prominence during and after the 2011 revolution, the band became known for socially conscious lyrics wrapped in anthemic rock and pop-rock. Over two decades they have grown into one of the biggest live acts in the Arab world, selling out huge shows at home and touring the diaspora. Their catalogue has made them a defining voice of a generation of Egyptian youth.
