Imed Alibi

Imed Alibi is a Tunisian percussionist, composer, and producer whose work bridges traditional North African rhythms with contemporary and electronic sound. He began with the French rock band Les Boukakes before collaborating extensively with Emel Mathlouthi and touring internationally. His debut album Safar (2014) was produced by Justin Adams, and he has worked with artists including Natacha Atlas, Rachid Taha, and Kel Assouf. His 2022 album Frigya, made with producer Khalil Epi, reimagines Mezwed and Bedoui traditions through a modern electronic lens.
