Ma-Beyn

Ma-Beyn is the stage name of Mariam Ramy, an Egyptian-Palestinian multidisciplinary artist known for a futuristic visual style and genre-bending music that moves between experimental hip-hop, funk, jazz, R&B and synth-pop. She began making music in Leeds around 2019, drawing on influences that range from disco and metal to drum and bass and classic Arabic song. Her self-titled debut album gathered thirteen tracks built across a wide sonic palette, with lyrics touching on personal, social and political themes. She was named among the Middle East and North Africa breakthrough artists of 2023.
