Biography
Kazdoura is a Toronto-based duo formed by Syrian vocalist Leen Hamo and Lebanese multi-instrumentalist John Abou Chacra. Their sound bridges traditional Arabic maqam with psychedelia, funk, jazz fusion, disco and dream pop, building original compositions rooted in the immigrant experience. The pair broke out after their debut EP Wain in 2022 and drew wide attention across Canadian radio and social platforms. They have earned recognition in Canada’s roots and world music circles for their cross-cultural fusion.
