Tania Saleh is a Lebanese singer-songwriter and visual artist, born in 1969, who has been active in the Arabic independent music scene since 1990. Early in her career she worked as an illustrator, backing vocalist and actress within Ziad Rahbani’s musical and theatrical productions. Her songwriting blends Arabic music with folk, jazz, alternative rock and electronic influences, often addressing social and political turmoil in Lebanon. Across nine studio albums she has earned wide recognition, including the German Record Critics’ Award for Intersection and 10 A.D.
